CS182 sucks. Currently I am attempting the homework for tomorrow. There is nothing like this in the book. Nothing like this has ever been gone over in class. What I'm supposed to do is take an indefinate sum and create a "simple formula" that will calculate this approximate sum up to large n. So far I've searched the internet and found that n! is approximately (2*pi*n)^(1/2)*n^n*e^(-n). There is no way in the world I would have been able to come up with something like that just by plotting a lot of points and saying, "Yeah, I see the curve similar to this, and here is it's formula: ...". Right now I am looking for an approximation for the Sum of 1/k from k=1 to k=n, where n is a finite number.

On a more better note, I took the first CS240 midterm exam just a few hours ago, and after checking the answers posted on the website, I have come to the conclusion I have only missed about 3&1/2 problems which is pretty darn good if you ask me. A fellow class mate has a different take on this exam.

Thursday and another night at work. I'll be studying for my first calc exam this semester. Shouldn't be too hard, I just got to memorize all the equations. Fun, fun, FUN! Also have a French vocab quiz. So many words, so little memory. And the quiz will only cover ten of them. And plus, I have yet to do my CS182 homework for tomorrow. So, I believe I will begin studying for the math test now, since that is the most important to me of these three, then CS homework, then FR quiz.

Two days of drill over and I'm still wearing my PT uniform. I have somewhat been volunteered/drug in to doing RST next weekend. There's a few good things about this though. It will be here in Lafayette, so no commute to Danville. SGT Fuller said we'll start around 9:00am and get done around 3:00pm, so I'll have time for all my regular weekend activities except church on Sunday morning. It will be a replacement for me drilling next month, Yay!

Yay is such a goofy looking word, maybe it's yae. I don't know, that looks even worse. Any ideas? There's a little jabber box over there to spew your comments and ideas. Seldom have people used it. Keven there is the only person who posted without prompting (well, I guess Allen came once and posted of his own free will, but then again, I know who Allen is yet I have no idea who Kevin is). There.
Mr. Walters, there. I think it's his favorite word, there. You know, there?

Another seemingly eventless Friday has come to pass. I must go to Danville tomorrow for drill, and I work until 11 tonight, so waking up and leaving by 7 in the morning will be difficult. This week pretty much sucked. Well, I guess I sold my english book on half.com, but other than that. . . I don't know, it just sucked. No time, putting off homework, I have time, I just spend it unwisely. ie, playing gameboy or Fluxx with Allen and/or Brian. Three weeks of school already done, 13 more weeks to go. Last semester of French, one more of Math, plenty of CS, and too much Liberal Arts.

Photos, under Quick Links, now has a very limited supply of actual photos, mostly taken with my digital camera. Actually, I think they all were. I'm not really enjoying the format I have started though, I think smaller pictures are in order and these linking to their larger, fuller counterparts.

I found it is very difficult to study when I have distractions such as computers around. I was doing a very good job studying in the hiks library until about 3 after 3 I realized I had to work at 3. I rushed over here and looked at my watch to see that I was 2 minutes late. Luckily, the site office is right here and I got signed in w/no problem, but since I have been here, no studying has taken place. I have looked at cool stuff on the internet such as the photos from nasa. This one being a panoramic shot of the sky. Neat stuff.

Yesterday I put my old laptop memory up on e-bay. Well, it doesn't start until tonight at 7:45p pst, that's 10:45p around here and it ends on Saturday night.
