And another Friday rolls around. On the floor that is. How it got there is beyond me. Having to work on Friday nights sucks. Not that I usually did anything anyway, but occasionally I'd see a movie with some friends or something.

Greg gave me his "old" printer. "Old" as in not really old, but old as in they don't use it any more and were planning on trashing it. BJC-620: works pretty good, it seems, and it's got the individual color components instead of one color cartridge that needed to be replaced if any color went empty and plus it's got black in there too, so no need to switch between color and black cartridges.

Some day. . . I will finish the Photos section. I have plenty of pics, its just that, well, organising them and resizing to be screen fittable and download friendly takes too much time. And then the whole part about telling what's going on and not just putting a while bunch of pictures up.

Welp, the supper before the work is calling. Hopefully I don't go to McDonald's; it is getting real old. Maybe Wendy's tonight, haven't been there in quite a while, and it's not too far off the trail.

Hmm. I purchased a 256mb chip for both my desktop and my laptop. Hopefully they work. I will get them in the coming days. I still need to sell off my old stuff. I got about 2 and 3/4 computers sitting in my room doing nothing. I plan on keeping one, you know, for those times when a buddy comes over and we want to play multi-player, but now that I have the laptop, it is very possible to use it instead of the other desktop, except it's getting slow in it's young age. I think it's the hard drive. Laptop HDD's must not be as fast as the IDE one's in desktops. I DL'd GTA3 and The Sims. Didn't have much time to mess with them though. They should prove cheap entertainment. I've been trying to get Nascar Racing 4, but it seems I haven't been able to find a real one on someone with a fast connection. Cable internet at home would be great, but wireless at school is still good.

Man, it is so freaking cold in this lab. It's like the cold air just flows right through the window and onto my fingertips.

I haven't seen Allen and/or Brian for a few days. I think they may be trying out the study rooms in the new STEW, but who knows. I went to see LoTR: Two Towers Sat. w/my parents instead of going to game night. Pretty good stuff. I still want to see Catch Me If You Can, and It's a Guy Thing looks to be interesting if only for the fact it's got Broady (real name Jason Lee, I think, who knows?) from Mall Rats.

I made myself a title. I know you are marveling at my graphic expertise. A little MSPaint and a paint brush and I'm ready to go. See that grey line thing on the left side? That was made using the pencil tool and the fill tool. Good Stuff, ain't it?

The non-PHP version of this really sucks at any resolution but 1024x768. I'm running 1280x1024 now at home, and boy does it just look weird. I imaging smaller resolutions are bad too. Someday, I'll make the PHP version default so all resolutions will be covered. Maybe I could add a percentage to the frame height. Hmm. Ideas, ideas.

Huh. It's Friday already. And I have to work till 11 tonight.

I'm not starting off too well in French. Yesterday we had a little quiz over the present tense. I didn't look over anything, and I got about one and a half verbs correctly conjugated, out of three. Then we were supposed to conjugate four more verbs, but I didn't realize they were due today, so I didn't have that done either. Oh well. I should probably study some. For all classes that is. It seems that I only do what is required and not much extra. In Econ, nothing but the exams are required, so just listening to lecture each day would not be very enlightening, considering I slept through the last half of yesterday's, but I did glance through the chapter and every thing she put on the overhead was in the book, so I got bored quickly. I should eat somewhere other than Micky D's tonight. Seems like every night I work I eat there before since it's on the way, but last semester I only worked one night a week, now I work three, and I just don't think I could handle eating McDonald's that often.

Greg expressed his whishes to have a program that allows him to keep track of all the MTG (Magic: The Gatherinng, see Slow Links) cards he has and their current price. He (and I) never play anymore, so he was kind of wanting to sell them on E-Bay, or at Game Preserve or a place like that and wanted an easy way to look up the price guide price of many cards easily. Now, this will probably cost me more time than it will save him, but it will test some aspects of my programming ability. Such as parsing a text file created by someone else, and, well, I'll probably have to look up how to have the program retrieve files off the internet to get the latest price guides for each expansion. And I'd have to have the ability to add new expansions (of course, I doubt that Greg is planning on purchasing more cards, but just for the flexibility aspect of it and a way to respecify the address of each expansion's price listing in case it moves, but if a different format of listing is used, that would break my parsing code, but hopefully there is some sort of standart in the making of those files). I seem to have a lot of really super humoungously gargantuan sentances of which I just described with an adjective that is probably mispelled and also an adverb describing that adjective is most likely spelled incorrectly as well.

Well, now I've finished two days of classes this semester, and it seems that CS182, the Foundations of Computer Science, will be difficult. Although I just did the first homework, and it's not too bad. It's got different operators than I'm used to though. ie: / = and, / = or, p -> q means "if p (is true) then q (is true)", p <-> q means "p (is true) if and only if q (is true)" where p and q are statements that are either true or false, but not both. An overline signifies "Not", as in, if p is true, then overline p ( p ) is false. Econ is econ, CS240 is just programming, like CS180 I think, FR202 like FR201. MA174 may prove difficult if only for the fact the class grades are based on the final. What I mean is, if 10% of the class gets an A on the final, 10% get an A for the class and so on and so forth.

Welp, it's about time for me to close this lab down

School starts tomorrow at 9:30 for me. I also printed off my work schedule: 18 hours, mostly evenings, but one during the day just about conflicts with a class. I get off at three; the class starts at three, so I'll have to see if I get leave early, or remove that shift from my schedule. I seem to have a lot of classes in double-E. French 202, Econ 251, all but the recitation of CS 182, and the 1 day/wk lecture portion of CS 240. I'll probably put my shedule in the about me section someday, maybe even today!
