Went to Hooters with John, his friend brandon, and several other McCutcheonites and had Dr P and hot wings. First time I ever been there. Not too bad, I guess, but all anyone wanted to talk about was cars or the hooter's girls, neither of which interest me too terribly much. But afterwords I went over to John's and played some XBox--Madden Football and and some NASCAR game, then watched the simpsons at 2am and came home. Now, I am just about falling asleep and can hardly type (backspace mania).

I got my barebones system in the mail today. Hopefully this will work better than my old one. No freezing during games/movies and other events of such nature would be nice. Since just about all the normal pci card stuff is built in to the motherboard, there shouldn't bee any hardware conflicts. Built in LAN, Sound, Video, AMR modem made for it. It came with a nice case and a 1.3ghz AMD Duron processor with a huge heat sink on top. So far it seems to be working good, so I'll probably sell all my extra hardware on e-bay or half.com (probably e-bay).

I went over to Marie's tonight and promptly began playing Gran Tourismo 3 on the PS2. Then we watched Back to the Future. . . all three of them, you know, since I got the DVD trilogy for Christmas. Now all I need is the Star Wars trilogy, the Jay and Silent Bob trilogy, and. . . um. . . some other movies and I'll be set for life.

Went to Danville to drive vehicles to AMSA in Peoria. It took a really long time. But I got to/had to drive all the way back. You should try driving 80mph in a HMMWV for about three hours or so. Arrived home at 9:40. Will return tomorrow to work for SFC Fuller and probably type stuff up.

I met up with John today and ate lunch at Taco Bell. Then we headed over to McCutcheon to pick up my senior yearbook. It seems that someone had already picked up a copy in my name and failed to tell me. Either that or someone forgot to buy one and went up to get one and looked at the list before giving their name. I believe I was on the front page, so that would have been easy enough. But anyhow, Ms Cavinaugh(sp?) gave me a book anyway. So then we went to Kmart to see if Greg was there. Didn't find him so we screwed around in the toys section for a little while and then went to the mall and messed around there for a while.

Drill today, obviously. Had a nice little retirement party for the CSM (Command Sergeant Major). He's been in the army for 34 years, quite a long time if you ask me. I'm only planning on doing my initial contract: 6 years reserve and 2 IRR (Individual Ready Reserve). I got signed up semi-involuntarily to drive vehicles this Tuesday and I'll also be working at the unit on Wed typing things up and such.

Drill today. Not much to say. CPT Rose is the new Co. Commander since CPT Oxner went IRR. I found out about 100% Tuition Assistance and how I could have not been paying for college all along. I'm going to see if, even though classes start soon and I've already paid the $558 for the 3 step program, Purdue will reimburse me this money if I get the TA approved. This would be very nice.

I've been working on HTMLPad over the past several hours, and implemented a few features.

-ability to toggle word wrap
-ability to change font
-tab = two spaces (did before, yet instead of tab; delete tab; space; space, now it just adds two spaces)
-home goes to begginning of text, or if at begginning of text, to begginning of line
-some minor shift+home handling--does not work great in all instances
-pressing enter keeps current indentation
-converted to VB.NET

Depite all this, no settings are saved, so if you really like a different font or word wrap, you'll have to change it every time for now.

Hrm. . . I'm having trouble getting it to run. . . Bah. . I'll upload it anyway.

Ohp. . . I think I got it.
