In order to find new meaning in life, I have taken up watching Anime's and learning a little Japanese. While this may not help in finding such new meaning, it is at least entertaining and my help in entirely unrelated departments of life. So far I have watched the entire Excel Saga and Scrapped Princess series. I am just over half way through ãƒˆãƒ©ã‚¤ã‚¬ãƒ³ (that's toraigan (or Trigun) for those ã‚«ã‚¿ã‚«ãƒŠ (katakana) dis-inclined), and have purchased the Cowboy Bebop anime series. At the rate I'm going I'm either going to run out of anime to watch or money to buy more. Some of the newer ones are over $20/DVD, but I've been trying to buy the slightly older cheaper and non-english dubbed ones. I got both Trigun and Cowboy Bebop together for about $41 total (12 DVDs with ~4 shows on each) shipped directly from China.

I saw the new Coca-Cola C2 in the pop machine here in ENAD so I got one. I am happy to report that does not taste very diet-like at all. It actually kind of reminds me of Vanilla Coke, but without as much vanilla flavor. If I liked Coke, I'd probably get it more often. Now Dr Pepper needs to do something like this, then I wouldn't feel as bad for ingesting so many carbohydrates for each one I drink.

It's the second day of work this summer and I'm not bored (but I guess I have been replying to various topics elsewhere.) I just didn't want any new visitors to think I was some sort of weirdo with all that bored nonsense. Heck, it'd make people bored just looking at it all. I bet this post even makes you bored. Its a good thing no one but Allen reads this thing anyway, otherwise there would be a few more bored people out there than there already are. Believe me, nothing at all interesting happens on this page, you might as well save yourself now and never come back.

I don't know how I could have wasted so much time being a regular lab assistant. i guess just being on the internet so much finally burnt me out. i mean, the internet is great and all, and i'm on it all the time when i'm at home, but i'm not surfing the internet all the time. i can download stuff and watch movies and tv shows and listen to music at home, but here, it's just so boring. the $7.50 an hour part doesn't suck, or the not having to do much to get it. i think its just the boredom that sucks so bad. see, this post is getting longer and longer as i ramble on just because i have nothing better to do. and i hate this keyboard so i have decided to not try to capitalize my letters anymore. since no one is here keeping watch over me, i might start bringing my gameboy or my mp3 player to work. heck, i might even bring in a dvd or something. i probably got enough time to watch one or two 25 minute episodes of a television show.

my back hurts right now

i mean, at least if i worked during the day i could talk to someone like allen, or someone, probably allen.

so i decided to try out the new Sprite Remix, ooh, and did you see that, i even used capital casing. whoo hoo. the drink is 'berryclear' flavor. It is remniciant (don't expect that to be spelled right) of the Tropical Sprite Remix, but actually seems to have more flavor. Instead of dropping one or two tropical skittles into a bottle of corbonated water, they took several berry flavored skittles and dropped them into a carbonated water bottle. I can't say that it tastes any better than its previously remixed counterpart, but it is indeed drinkable, and therefore will recieve Rikudo's seal of approval to be the topic of next week's excel saga.

hmm, for some reason i actually feel a bit better now. Must have been the sprite.

I am now working. Right now. I'm serious.

I have resumed working as a Senior Lab Assistant at Purdue. My hours henceforth shall be 10:30pm - 03:00am Monday through Friday and 8:00pm - 03:00am Sunday.
